Embarrassed!

Dear Sirs
 
I'm delighted and slightly embarrassed to tell you we've found the fault and somewhat predictably it was me. I had the battery cable attached to the wrong terminal (the strap that links the motor to the solenoid).

Thanks for all your help, I'll be taking your advice about removing the bulkhead solenoid and apologies for wasting your time.

Thanks for sending on the Terminals pack for my recent order captioned.

I have now fitted the WOSP starter motor, and find it works superbly.  Cranking speed is 2 - 3 times faster than when using the original French motor.

There is also a massive weight saving - 5 lbs for the WOSP versus some 22 lbs for the original, and the compact WOSP was far easier to fit than the big, heavy original in the restricted space on my mid-engine Maserati Merak.

With a 3 year warranty as well, I consider this an exceptional purchase.  Do tell WOSP of such positive feedback, and I shall notify the American Maserati Club of this, which may lead to more orders.
